Install OpusRank from your WordPress dashboard: Plugins → Add New, search for "OpusRank", install and activate. Or upload the plugin ZIP under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

Requirements: WordPress 6.0+, PHP 7.4+. No account is needed — every local feature works immediately after activation.

SEO analysis, the AI readiness checklist, internal link suggestions, topic clustering, sitemaps, redirects and the 404 monitor all run entirely on your own web server. Results are stored in your own WordPress database and nothing is transmitted to us.

Find them under the OpusRank menu in your dashboard. Each screen explains what it computed and from what.

Connected features (Search Console and AI assistance) need a paid plan. After purchase you receive a licence key.

Enter it under OpusRank → Settings → Licence. The plugin exchanges the key for a site-scoped token once; everything afterwards authenticates with that token, so a single site can be disconnected without affecting your licence. Re-activating on the same site simply rotates the token.

Under OpusRank → Search Console, click Connect. You'll be taken to Google's own consent screen to grant read-only access to your Search Console data.

What happens behind the scenes: Google returns an authorisation code to our server, which exchanges it for a refresh token — this exchange requires a confidential credential that can't ship inside a public plugin, and that is the only reason our server is involved. The token is held for at most ten minutes and deleted the moment your site retrieves it. Your site stores it encrypted.

Your Search Console data itself is never sent to us. Your site requests it directly from Google and stores it in your own database.

If the connection screen says the request is invalid or expired, more than 15 minutes passed — start again from your WordPress dashboard.

Five tasks are available: query clustering, low click-through diagnosis, title/description rewriting, content briefs, and monthly change summaries. Each screen tells you exactly what will be sent before it is sent — typically a page's title, an extract of its content, and the real queries it receives.

Content that is password-protected, unpublished, marked noindex or explicitly excluded is never eligible to be sent. Every response is labelled with the model and prompt version that produced it, and identical requests are answered from cache without a second charge.

Your monthly allowance depends on your plan — see pricing. When it runs out, requests are declined rather than billed.

Disconnecting Search Console from the plugin revokes our application's access at Google and deletes the stored token from your site.

Enabling "remove all data on uninstall" before deleting the plugin removes every table, setting and stored value from your WordPress database. To delete account data from our service, contact us via the support page; removal completes within 30 days.

"Invalid licence" on activation — check the key was copied whole, and that the licence hasn't expired. Verification fails closed: if our licensing provider is briefly unreachable, wait a few minutes and retry.

Search Console shows "reconnect required" — access was revoked in your Google account or the token was replaced. Reconnect from OpusRank → Search Console; this is a fresh consent, not a fault.

AI request declined with a quota message — your monthly allowance is used. It resets on the first of the month; nothing is billed for declined requests.
